Local Pickup in Kelowna, or Shipped to Your Door: How Shore Orders Get to You

We are a small family operation in the Okanagan, not a warehouse, so it is worth explaining plainly how an order actually reaches you. There are two routes: come and collect it in Kelowna for free, or let us mail it.
Free local pickup in Kelowna
If you are in town, pickup is the easy choice. Orders are collected from Man Made Barber & Supply at 1561 Pandosy Street in Kelowna, and there is no charge for it.
Pickup is available Thursday through Monday, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Choose Pickup instead of a shipping method at checkout, and wait for our email before you make the trip. We send that as soon as the order is sitting there with your name on it, and it saves you turning up to an empty counter.
One thing customers ask often: pickup is a genuine option on every order, and choosing it does not limit what you can buy.
How long orders take to leave us
We process orders Monday to Friday, and anything in stock leaves within 72 hours. Weekend orders are picked up on the Monday, so a Friday evening order and a Sunday morning order tend to go out on the same day.
Shipping rates, plainly
Rates are flat, so there is no surprise at the last step of checkout. Within Canada it is $22, or $32 for bulky items such as straw hats, which take a box rather than a bag. Canadian orders over $250 ship free, and delivery usually lands between three and nine business days.
To the United States it is $25, or $45 for bulky items, free over $350, and usually two to five business days. Everywhere else it is $40, or $95 for bulky items, and usually four to eight business days. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
These are the figures as we write this, and the current rates are always listed under the Shipping and Returns tab on every product page, so check there if you are reading this a year from now.
Duties and customs, if you are outside Canada
Any VAT, tariffs, duties, taxes, handling fees or customs charges your own country applies are yours to pay. We do not collect them in advance and we genuinely cannot estimate them, because they vary by destination and by what is in the parcel. It is worth a quick look at your country's threshold before ordering, because refusing the charges at the door means the parcel comes back to us and the shipping is not refundable.
Sizes, before you order rather than after
We are not accepting returns or exchanges at the moment, which means getting the size right the first time matters more here than it would at a big retailer. We would rather answer a question than process a disappointment, so two things are worth doing.
First, read the Size and Fit tab on the product page, where the measurements for that specific item live. Second, if you are between two sizes, use the enquiry link on the page and ask us. We will measure the actual item.
Our hat sizing guide covers beanies, snapbacks and straw hats in more detail if that is what you are shopping for.
A quiet argument for pickup
If you live in Kelowna or you are passing through, pickup is free, it is faster than the post, and it puts nothing in a truck. It also means you can try a beanie on your kid's head at the counter rather than guessing from a chart. If you are new to us, browse New Arrivals to see what has landed recently, or read a bit more about who we are.
